First of all, every day, after we get up from bed, we will start walking right? It also means that walking is unavoidable for all of us in every day’s life. Actually, walking is the most convenient exercise as we are always walking from one place to another, walking is free and does not require any special equipment and training. Walking is a great way to improve your overall health and wellbeing. And now I’ll explain about walking for exercise in the following paragraphs.

There are some health benefits of walking such as increasing your cardiovascular fitness, lowering your heart disease and stroke risks, better blood glucose control, achieving stronger bones and improving balance, increasing your muscle strength and endurance, and reducing anxiety and depression.

In order to maximize your health, try to walk for at least 30 minutes every day. A great idea is that you can walk together with your dog, or walk and chat together with your friends so that you will not feel bored, but makes walking interesting and a pleasure.

Remember, no matter what time of the day you walk, you consume the same amount of energy, so do what is most convenient for you. Walking is a convenient, low-cost, and an effective exercise. However, if you wear the wrong shoe type or wrong walking movement, you can have foot or shin pain, blisters, and soft tissue injuries. So make sure that your shoes are comfortable and have proper heel and arch supports. Take steps easily and make sure that your heel is on the ground before your toes. If possible, walk on grass instead of concrete to help absorb the impact.
